BET-XT index of the 25 most traded stocks at the Bucharest trading closed 3.35% lower, while ten energy stocks gauge, BET-NG finished 2.24% down.
The liquidity at the stock market grew to 53.46 million lei (€12.91 million), on massive selloff.
Bond sector generated a cash flow of 52.76 million lei (€12.74 million), propped up by a 5,027 T-notes transaction.
European equities were posting massive declines at BSE’s closing, as the US market crashed in the latest trading, with Dow Jones recording the weakest performance since April 2009.
At the London Stock Exchange, FTSE index of the leading 100 companies was falling 1%, Germany’s DAX was decreasing 0.80% while France’s CAC40 was posting 2.16% drop.
FIC Oltenia (BSE:SIF5) have been the most traded stocks today, with 18.04 million lei worth shares changing hands, while stock prices plummeted 4.38% to 1.53 lei, while FIC Moldova (BSE:SIF2) fell 2.92% to 1.33 lei.
In the banking sector, BRD SocGen (BSE:BRD) fell 2.03% to 14.50lei, while Banca Transilvania (BSE:TLV) suffered 3.43% drop to 1.97 lei.
