Top 10 best performing stocks at BSE in April
Stocks at Bucharest Stock Exchange came under extreme pressure in April, as a raft of economic news pushed the market’s most traded stocks sharply lower. However, there have been companies faring much better amid a distressed environment. Wall-Street compiled a list of ten stocks by their April performance.
10. Zimtub Zimnicea
“I believe the company’s performance was driven by its profit forecasts, because indicators can be anticipated fundamentally and the company can become very attractive for investors”, Gabriel Necula, Deputy Operations Director at Prime Transaction told Wall-Street.
The shareholders of the company approved the revenues and expenses budget for the year, which envisages a pre-tax profit of 609,139 lei.
9. Electroaparataj
The issuer attracted 11,647 lei liquidity in April.
8. Energopetrol
The growth may have been driven by the company’s profit forecasts for the year, of 200,000 lei, double from a year earlier.
The company earmarked 512,850 lei in investments this year.
7. Mecanica Ceahlau
Mecanica Ceahlau expects to turn to profit this year, with a projected 0.27 million gross income, versus 7.84 million lei loss a year earlier.
6. Contor Group Arad
The company expects a 3.7-fold higher profit this year, to 4.14 million lei.
5. Armatura Cluj-Napoca
The shares however attracted only 463 lei total trade value, the lowest of all issuers under review.
The company said it expects losses to narrow to 224,967 lei this year. The majority shareholder of the company is Herz Armaturen with 33% interest, and under stock market regulation, it should initiate a public takeover offering.
4. Comelf Bistrita
Even though it operates in a particular niche market, the company posted six-times higher profit in 2009 and expects 593,000 this year.
3. Petrolexportimport
The company expects to break-even in 2010, after 3.96 million lei loss in 2009.
2. Cemacon Zalau
The company attracted a total liquidity of 6.1 million lei.
1. Siretul Pascani
The growth was largely driven by the public selling offering initiated by FIC Transilvania (BSE:SIF3).
Siretul Pascani expects to turn to profit this year, namely 855, 127.
