Ford has appointed Paul Flanagan as managing director of the new National Sales Company of Ford Romania, effective January 1, 2010.
Flanagan acted as head of sales for 188 Ford dealerships in UK.
Flanagan will be supported from Bucharest by Zoltan Brassai, operations director at Ford. Brassai served as director of operations for Romania at Ford EDM (European Direct Markets) based in Cologne, Germany.
“I am delighted to announce the new executive team of Ford in Romania. Both Paul and Zoltan have an extensive experience, and they will help the company continue with the plans of strengthening Ford’s presence in Romania, once the National Sales Company of Ford is fully operational in 2010”, said Peter Fleet, director of Ford Europe Sales Department.
“Throughout the transition period, Romcar will continue to represent Ford in Romania, as it has been representing Ford in Romania for the past 17 years. Our plans for Romania require the opening of a National Sales Company, in line with Ford’s policy in other European markets”, Fleet said.
Ford acquired 97% stake in Automobile Craiova car plant in 2008.
