Banca Romaneascas CEO leaves company



Andreas Maragkoudakis, the CEO of Banca Romaneasca, held by Greek-based National Bank of Greece will leave his management position, following to retire on July, according to market sources.
Andreas Maragkoudakis is stepping down after heading the bank’s operations for over four years.

Maragkoudakis came at the helm of the bank in spring 2005 when he succeeded Petru Rares, the current chairman of Romanian Banking Institute.

Prior to Banca Romaneasca, Maragkoudakis held various management positions in companies such as American Express, Piraeus Bank, Alpha Bank and Eurobank Ergasias.

He was also vicepresident of Alpha Bank Romania and BancPost.
